Choralpalooza 2016

The Urban Dictionary defines a "palooza" as "an all-out crazy party; partying at one place with a ton of people like there's no tomorrow." A CHORAL-palooza, by extension, is an all-day party of choral music with a ton of choirs participating. Local vocal groups will perform for about twenty minutes each both in the main performance hall and in the beautiful lobby of The Isabel.

Beethoven Symphony No. 9

Members of the Kingston Choral Society will join forces with the Kingston Chamber Choir and the Kingston Symphony Orchestra in performances of Beethoven's "Choral" Symphony on March 19 at 7:30pm and Sunday March 20 at 2:30pm at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts.  For further information visit the Kingston Symphony Association website.

Join the Kingston Community Strings and the Kingston Choral Society in a performance of the stunning Sunrise Mass by Ola Gjeilo.  Other works on the program include Spring from Haydn's Seasons, Gloria and Sanctus from Schubert's Mass No 2 in G Major, and The Promise of Living by Aaron Copland,

General admission is $25.  Tickets are available online from The Isabel website, at The Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts box office (3909 King Street West, Kingston) or from members of the Kingston Choral Society and the Kingston Community Strings.  Student tickets are $20 but must be purchased from The Isabel box office upon presentation of a valid student card.
