Concerts in 2021/22


After too long away, KCS is ready to sing for you again in 2021/22. With two extended choral masterworks on the program for this season, and with the understanding that things may have to go on hold once again, the choir is eager to welcome music lovers back to The Spire for more beautiful music, beautifully sung.

HANDEL’S MESSIAH

For the sheer beauty of the music and the incredible skill of the composer, Handel’s Messiah endures as one of history’s most astounding creative feats.

​Ring in the holiday season The Kingston Choral Society in a performance of one of the world’s best loved choral masterworks. In the intimate setting of the great hall at The Spire, the performance will feature soloists, choir and a chamber orchestra made up of musicians from the Kingston Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of gust conductor John Palmer.

BRAHMS REQUIEM

in English, 4 hand piano edition

Brahms chose the text of his great German Requiem consciously in the vernacular of his country, so those who first introduced it to London decided to pay homage to his ideals and perform it in English, with Brahms’s own piano (four hands) accompaniment.
