On Saturday May 11 AD Ian Juby leads the Kingston Choral Society in a program of masterworks; mainstays of the great choirs around the world for centuries. On the program; Joseph Rheinburger’s Stabat Mater; one of his most personal works, one transformed through harmonic twists and turns into a work of salvation and hope. Audiences can also look forward to Vivaldi’s Gloria in D Major, easily the most popular and most performed of the three composed by Vivaldi around the same time.  The choir will be accompanied by an instrumental ensemble, and welcome soloists Charlotte Stewart-Juby, soprano, and Colleen Renihan, mezz0 – soprano.

Safety continues to be a priority. As regional Covid protocols are updated, KCS concert policies will also adapt. At present, the choir, conductor and pianist will be largely unmasked,  with a few exceptions. Our audiences are invited to wear masks.  The use of masks in indoor public spaces is still strongly recommended by public health officials.

Please visit this page on concert day for changes, if any.
